Volunteer Opportunities
While there are MANY wonderful people that work tirelessly for the bunnies, we wanted to start our "Thank You!" page with one woman in particular.       "Marjorie"

* She has been involved in rabbit love, care and rescue since a child.
* She is a bunny foster mom.
* Helps clean and care for rabbits at the main foster home.
* She is chairperson of the HRS PetsMart Adoptions Days.
* She trains volunteer staff for PetsMart adoption days.
* Marjorie is skilled at matching and bonding pairs of rabbits so they can live together "happily ever after" thereby  enabling two buns to get a home instead of just one.  Each bunny is happier too since they have another bun to love!
* Marjorie is a trainer, official HRS Educator.

For all the Bunny Love you continue to give throughout the years..THANK YOU Marjorie!

2008 Polk County Rescue
A HUGE thank you to all who have worked endlessly to help the Humane Society set up and continue to care for the rescued Polk County rabbits and other small critters on a daily basis.  Your endless heartfelt work is too valuable for mere words....Thank you!!!   Without that kind of dedication, such a huge rescue couldn't have been done...the bunnnies know and appreciate it!

HRS is also grateful to the following: Petsmart Charities, Purina Mills, American Pet Diner, Carol House Furniture, Zupreem, El Mel, FURminator, Dr. Linda Beisswenger and Veterinary Assistant Rennie Bodien from Hope Animal Hospital and Dr. Elly Kelly and Dr. Rachel Beltz for the marathon spay/neuter session done on Sept. 28 to prepare many of the bunnies for adoption.

2009 Stone County Rescue of
New Zealand White Bunnies

Once again, there aren't words to express the heartfelt thanks for all who were involved in the Stone County Rescue. The continuing efforts of volunteers who take care of them, the donors who help keep money in our Stone County Spay/Neuter/Care Fund and of course those kindhearted people who adopt them into loving homes.  It is a team effort...thanks to ALL of you!
Thanks to Thelma Miller, for providing the Ice Cream Social last month.
It was fabulous!
And thanks to Mary Stillman and Joy Gioia for building the bunny obstacle course that entertained the bunnies - and us!
THANK YOU to Dr. and Mrs. Stockerl-Goldstein for the cases of IV fluids including the set lines too!  These are being used for bunnies that are in medical distress and are greatly appreciated!
PLEASE NOTE:
There are so many wonderful people who make donations of time, energy and items as well as open their homes to homeless bunnies that there is no way we can be sure we haven't forgotten someone or our communication hasn't broken down. Please let our volunteer webmaster know if we have missed someone...it is unintentional and we want to be able to acknowledge all who help HRS.

2010 Franklin County Confiscation of 133 Bunnies!
Thank you to the Sheriff's Dept. and the Humane Society of MO for rescuing a huge number of animals, including well over 100 rabbits from a residence in Franklin County.  Thanks also to the wonderful volunteers of House Rabbit Society of MO for caring for these poor bunnies.
Thank you to all who care enough to help do the right thing for all these animals.  Donations and volunteers are needed for the daily care of all these precious, neglected bunnies.
